Howdy, we welcome you to our
lifestyle as you journey on your path. We hit the road Sept.
11th, 1989, Bryce 1 month shy of his 49th birthday, to
experience living full time in an RV. We wanted to experience
the freedom of the road while we were young enough to enjoy
it. We sold everything we owned and had a glorious 1.5 years
of play before we ran out of money. With no retirement income
and very little left in our bank account we chose to find a
way to continue on the road and earn income along the way.
Bryce's 30 years of computer work and Lisa's nursing career
experience were shelved as we wanted to find new ways to
sustain ourselves. Our first job on the road was selling
advertising for American Guide Services, a company that
provides Visitor Guides to RV parks all over Canada and U.S.
This was our primary source of income for many years until
December 1995 when Bryce discovered the
Internet.
During 1996 he put
3000 man hours. He tried
everything that was available at that time and through trial
and error eventually figured out how to actually get people to
purchase something. Our concept was to be able to earn a
full time income from the internet while we lived full
time in our RV and traveled whenever and
wherever we wanted. Everything we learned we shared
with our fellow surfers in order to assist them in their quest
to earn a full time income from the internet.
Staying connected to
the internet has been a challenge, especially in the early
years. It is certainly getting easier now with phone
connections available at most of the upscale RV parks.
Satellite Internet Service is also another option that did not
exist until recently.
1998 found us playing
around with eBay auctions, buying and selling gold and silver
coins. As we travel the western U.S. we rarely pass up old out
of the way Antique Stores. We love the ones that have dirt and
dust on treasures piled in a corner that no one can possibly
find. In October of 2000, Bryce began talking with the owners
about eBay auctions. He would ask, "Do you ever sell any of
your items on eBay?" To our surprise the response was almost
always the same, "No, I just don't have the time to do that".
These responses created the inspiration to become an eBay
Auction Broker as whenever Bryce would ask, "Would you be
interested in selling on eBay if we did ALL of the work for
you?" Again, to our surprise we almost always received a very
positive response.
Armed with this
knowledge, we officially resigned from American Guide Services
after 10 wonderful years, the AUCTION WEBWORKER was born. We
took care of research, digital photos, item descriptions, ebay
monitoring, collecting of funds, packaging, shipping,
